Yacht Stew Guide

These Terms of Service apply to all coaching services, digital content, and resources provided by Leanne Ferreira, trading as Yacht Stew Guide (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By booking a coaching session, purchasing a service, or using this website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Services Provided

Yacht Stew Guide provides:

  • One-to-one coaching sessions for yacht stews

  • Career guidance and mentoring

  • Educational content and resources related to the yachting industry

All services are delivered online unless otherwise stated.

Coaching sessions are supportive, educational, and reflective in nature and are not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment.

2. Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching is designed to help you:

  • Gain clarity

  • Improve confidence

  • Better understand onboard expectations

  • Make informed career decisions

Coaching does not guarantee employment, promotion, or specific outcomes. Results depend on individual circumstances, effort, timing, and industry conditions.

3. Not Therapy or Mental Health Treatment

Coaching is intended to support reflection, clarity, and personal development.

Coaching sessions are not therapy,  counselling or medical treatment.

Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

No diagnosis or clinical treatment is provided.

If you require urgent or ongoing mental health support, you are encouraged to seek appropriate professional help.

Where appropriate, referrals may be suggested to external support services specialising in maritime and seafarer wellbeing.

4. Booking & Session Details

  • Coaching sessions are delivered online via Google Meet

  • Standard session length: 45 minutes

  • A short pre-session questionnaire may be requested to help focus the session

You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and attending on time.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited

  • Missed sessions without notice are non-refundable

6. Refund Policy

  • Refunds are not available once a coaching session has taken place

  • If a session is cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice, rescheduling will be offered

7. Complimentary 1:1 Coaching Sessions

Where a free or complimentary coaching session is offered in connection with an external course or promotion:

  • The session must be booked within 60 days of course completion

  • Unclaimed sessions after this period are considered forfeited

  • Complimentary sessions cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred

8. Client Responsibility

You agree that:

  • You are responsible for your own decisions and actions

  • Coaching is collaborative and not directive

  • You will seek professional help when required outside the scope of coaching

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, guides, frameworks, and coaching materials, remains the intellectual property of Yacht Stew Guide.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission.

10. Confidentiality

All coaching sessions are confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time.
Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
